Born onto a farm in the wheat/sheep belt of south-west NSW, I was imbued with a deep love and respect for Nature, and a great sense of affinity with her.

Now after decades spent living and working in Sydney and overseas, I find myself here in the Blue Mountains, surrounded by her once again and totally revelling in her embrace.

Having come full circle to where life is defined by the glorious seasons, with all of the joys and dangers therein, living in awe and excitement of this turbulent, tempestuous ever surprising climate.

For me, the gloriously extravagant beauty of spring and autumn, the quiet brooding of winter and the mystical layering of fog are so inspirational. And then there was the magical wonderland of snow! So simply pure in white and black, transforming my world for a day ….. leaving the next without a trace.

My paintings are mostly executed using pastels, or as a friend describes them – ‘Nature finely ground.’ They produce the purest and most intense colour of any medium, thus perfect for imitating nature’s wildly extravagant and ever changing palette.

Both the colour and the effects of light in nature are the sources of my inspiration in these works.

My works are landscape, still life, figurative, portraiture and urban scenes.

Most paintings are also available as limited edition Giclée prints . They are printed on 310 gsm Hahnemuhle German Etching 100% Cellulose paper, hand signed and are available in a range of sizes.
